The FRESHMEN Classroom is structured for children ages 15 Months & 2 Years Old. We accept each child as a unique person. Every child's social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs will be nurtured with care, kindness and understanding. Teachers assist and support the choices that children make, sometimes expanding and challenging them with the addition of equipment, materials or ideas. A Complete, Academic Based Curriculum is used in Every Classroom. Outside play and exploration is encourged everyday, weather permitting, by taking the children into their own playground that has age and size appropriate toys and equipment.	Recognizing Shapes and Colors Help Children Sort the Pieces Into the Container. Problem Solving and Manipulative Processes are a Vital Part of Early Childhood Development. Many Opportunities are Available for Cooperation, Problem Solving and Decision Making Through Play. Large and Small Motor Development is Encouraged Through Games, Finger Plays, Musical Activities and Outdoor Play. Our program provides learning activities appropriate for your child's age and for his / her own interests and needs. Our professionally trained and qualified teachers encourage children to be active learners. Everyday will be busy with indentifying colors, shapes, letters and anumbers while coloring, painting and pasting.

DIAPERING & TOILET TRAINING: A Sanatized Diapering Station, Bathroom, and Hand Washing Sink, are Ideally Located Within the Classroom so Teachers Can Attend to Every Child's Toileting Needs. Parents are Asked to Supply Diapers, Wipes and Extra Clothing for Their Un-Trained Child. Our Attentive Teachers Assist Parents with the Toilet Training Process when Your Child Shows Signs of Readiness. BRIGHT STARS ACADEMY Toilet Training Guidelines are: Toilet Training occurs when the child has reached the maturity level which includes the ability to accomplish the following tasks: 1. Have bladder and bowel control for 2 to 3 hours at at time. 2. Must be able to undress and dress herself / himself. 3. Must be able to follow simple verbal instructions such as: walk to toilet, lower pants, sit down, stay there quietly for several minutes, stand up, wipe with toilet tissue and raise pants. 4. Asks to use toilet 2 to 5 minutes prior to the need by indicating verbally to a teacher. 5. Wants soiled diapers changed on a regular basis and shows sincere interest in using the toileting facilities. Until your child exhibits these qualities within the classroom on a regular basis, training pants, including pull-ups, will not be recommended to be used at the center. Children are Encouraged to Become Independent, Seeing to Their Own Toileting & Cleanliness Needs. Toilet Training Assistance is Available in the Freshmen Classroom. Everyone is Taught to Wash Their Hands with Soap and Water at Many Times Throughout Each Day. Cleanliness is of Utmost Importance to Everyone at Bright Stars Academy. Our Teachers Supervise Handwashing to Be Sure that Children are Thoroughly Clean. Bright Stars Academy is Proud to have Ionic Breeze Quadra Silent Air Purifiers in the School.
